MILITARY WEAPONRY

The following weapons are unavailable to civillians. Military spec weapons are often anti-vehicle or could damage buildings (and people) significantly. The prices listed are for legitimate purchases and blackmarket sources will double (if not tripple) the listed price. Terrorists, millitias and the police are all very interested in keeping hold of military spec weaponry.


FLAME GUNS

These weapons use a burst of heated chemical which burns forming a super hot jet of flame. They are illegal because of their explosive fuel and wide area of effect. Flame guns often suffer from overheating and have up to a one metre area effect (hitting two hit locations as a shotgun would).

They are a similar size to large SMGs. They can fire single bursts or make one sweep attack (see combat section). Anyone or anything hit by a flame gun takes the damage dice listed. However, in the following rounds, the target takes suffers another hit equal to the damage dice less one die per round. So, the Sabre Inferno inflicts 4D6 on round one; 3D6 on round two; 2D6 on round three and on the fourth round causes another D6 of damage.

GRENADE RIFLES

The grenade rifles look like bulky autoshotguns and they can fire any type of grenade, as well as mini-missiles and chaser rockets. Grenade rifles lack the range and capacity of the larger grenade launchers. These weapons are highly illegal and are hard to get hold off.

Selective fire changes the clip into hoppers which hold differing types of shell, allowing you to select specialist grenades without having to reload. This changes the weapon's magazine size to: Avenger: 4 x 2 capacity units. MGR3 & GRM: 6 x 2 capacity or 4 x 3 capacity units.

PMLs

These weapons are used against buildings, vehicles and in some cases, cyberpsychos. PML stands for portable minisile launcher and they are about the same size as a wide autoshotgun. PMLs are fired from the shoulder and use minisiles (or mini-missiles). The Blacklight Solo is a one shot disposable launcher, while the others can be reloaded. PMLs are illegal, incurring a jail sentence; or a bullet in the head.
